RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. Students are expected to maintain a high standard in their behaviour and manner of speech.
  2. Students’ actions and language should be courteous at all times.
  3. Students must converse with each other in standard language on the school premises.
  4. Students should greet peers, teachers and visitors whenever they meet them.
  5. Attentiveness in class and regularity in home assignments is mandatory.
  6. Each student should take pride in keeping the school campus clean.
  7. Fighting, bullying, denying use of facilities to others, damaging school property and causing injury to others will invite strict disciplinary action.
  8. Students are responsible to the school authority not only for their conduct in school but also for their general behaviour outside. Any objectionable conduct reported or observed is liable to disciplinary action
  9. All unresolved disagreements amongst peers must be brought to the class teacher’s notice


TIMINGS

  1. School will remain open from Monday to Saturday.
  2. Time schedules for PTMs and school functions will be informed through school circulars and the school bulletin board.
  3. Students reach 10 minutes before the first bell
  4. They should also be picked up within 15 minutes after the last bell.

UNIFORM

  1. The uniform should be clean and well ironed daily.
  2. Shoes and socks should be clean.
  3. Personal hygiene and cleanliness must be maintained.
  4. Any kind of colouring of hair is not permitted.
  5. Nails should be cut short weekly. No nail paint allowed.
  6. Girls must wear simple earrings. No fancy jewellery allowed.
  7. Students are allowed to wear watches only after class 9.
  8. Improper turnout will invite disciplinary action.

ATTENDANCE

  1. Students must be regular and punctual in attending school.
  2. Minimum attendance required is 80% in an academic year.
  3. No test will be rescheduled or re-conducted to accommodate a student’s absence.
  4. In the event of absence for up to three days, a written note should be submitted either through email, a note in the student diary or a leave letter sealed in an envelope, explaining the reason for the absence. A leave request made through a phone call should be later supported with an application.
  5. If the duration of absence is to be more than three days, written permission needs to be obtained from the Headmistress. /Coordinator
  6. If sick leave is being mentioned and it is for more than 3 days, the parent should submit a doctor’s certificate
  7. No half days or early leave for students will be permitted
  8. In the interest of students and discipline, parents are earnestly requested not to apply for leave for family vacations, ceremonies and functions

LEAVE 0F ABSENCE

  1. Students are forbidden to leave the school premises during school hours, except with the permission obtained by the written application from parent or guardian in the prescribed “absence record” in the handbook. Requests for leave written on loose sheets of paper may not be granted. Truancy must be checked up by parents.
  2. A student who is absent for a month without previously informing the Headmistress and obtaining her permission will have her/his name struck off the school register. The usual entrance fee will be charged if she/he is re-admitted.
  3. A minimum of 75% attendance of the total working days in the academic year is mandatory for promotion. Repeated absence renders the pupil liable for dismissal.
  4. Pupils suffering from contagious or infectious disease will not be permitted in school till declared medically fit.
  5. Latecomers without a written excuse from their parents or guardian will not be permitted to enter their classes. This excuse is to be written in their calendar and not any private letters.
  6. However, no student who has been late or absent from school more than three times in a month will be admitted to class without the Headmistress Signature.

PAYMENT OF FEES

  1. Students have to pay their fees through challan & fees will be paid maximum in two installments before the month of December.

WITHDRAWAL

  1. Notice of leaving School must be given before the beginning of the next academic year.
  2. A month’s notice in writing is required before withdrawal of the name of a pupil from the School.
  3. Application for the withdrawal is to be made in a prescribed form (format given in diary), which must be signed by the parent /guardian of the pupil whose name is to be struck off.
  4. Leaving Certificate will be issued, provided all dues are paid.

GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS

  1. Parents are expected to co-operate with the school so that every student may derive maximum benefit from the educational process. Co-operate in certain specific areas listed below is expected.
  2. Please read the rules listed in the calendar and ensure that your child confirms these rules.
  3. Check the calendar daily and look into the following points :
    a. Homework.
    b. Absence and late coming record.
    c. Notices and circulars.
  4. Parents are earnestly requested to maintain discipline and keep up the tone of the school.
  5. Parents are requested to give their child a tiffin box from home.
  6. Parents and guardians are not allowed to see their children or Interview teachers in class during school hours.
  7. Parents are requested to strictly monitor the time for watching TV so that the students utilise maximum time for studies.
  8. Parents/ Guardians are requested to look into the school Diary of their ward daily and see that the lessons and Homework assigned for the next day are done. Remarks made in the diary should be seen and countersigned regularly.
    The declaration form page should be carefully filled in by the parents.
  9. If you observe that your ward is not assigned homework for some time or she is unable to follow the lessons, the Head Mistress should be contacted.
  10. Withdrawing of your child from classes for mere social functions is not recommended because it retards the student’s progress in school and minimizes her/his respect for regular hard work with consequent failure to progress in her/his studies.
